trying to figure out CMYK conversion more with a bit of help from Nolan Woodward
*let me rephrase. I know what CMYK is, and what its for. My issue is/was converting, and using CMYK properly in Photoshop.

The printer uses cyan, magenta, and yellow inks and mixes them to make colors. Thus, if it's already formatted for those colors, it prints much better as opposed to the printer trying to interpret red green and blue.
